About Our Shoji Screens

Handcrafted in our own factory to our own designs in Taiwan to our design specifications, our screens offer excellent quality at a very reasonable price.

• All screens are constructed from Ramin and Chinese Ash. Both wood types are a fast growing hardwood grown in swamps and lowlands. This wood has the advantage of being a renewable resource, a hardwood for strength and durability, and yet is not harvested from tropical rainforests.
• The screens incorporate the heaviest wood lattice and frame structure currently available on the marketplace. What this means is that the screens can easily stand by themselves and do not warp or bend over time.
• Our Ocean Mist Rice Paper is a blend of natural rice paper with synthetic rice paper, providing a high degree of flame retardation as well as strength against puncture and tearing. This unique rice paper blend is opaque allowing diffused light through the screen. This paper creates a bright yet soft look that is special and unique to our distinctive furniture screens.
